Privacy policy
This policy covers the myCE iPhone app and this website. myCE is owned by PC3 Media Group LLC ("we", "us").
The short version
- The app keeps your records on your iPhone. We don't have a copy on our servers.
- We don't sell your information, show you ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
- myCE is for your credentials. Don't put patient information in it.
- You can export everything, or delete your account, from inside the app.
What the app keeps on your iPhone
- Your profile: name, role, state, agency or department, work history, and photo, if you add them.
- Your records: titles, issuers, dates, hours, instructors, topics, and notes, along with the photos and PDFs you add and the text read from them.
- Employment documents: anything you choose to add, such as vaccination records, a driver's license number, or insurance details.
- Your goals and bundles: what you're tracking and the packets you've made.
- Instructor information: your classes, sessions, and the rosters you scan.
Certificates are read on your phone by Apple's built-in text recognition. Location and device details are removed from photos when they're saved. Records are stored with iOS data protection, and you can turn on a Face ID lock.
If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, your records may be part of that backup, under your own account.
What leaves your iPhone
- When you sign in. Apple or Google confirms who you are and gives the app an account identifier, and your name and email if you allow it. Their own privacy policies apply to that step. We never see a password.
- When you send a bundle. A bundle or export goes wherever you send it, using email, AirDrop, Files, or another app you pick. Whoever receives it can see what's in it.
- When an instructor scans your QR code. Your code gives their phone your account identifier, name, role, department or agency, and a small copy of your profile photo. It doesn't include your records.
- When you scan a class QR code. The code brings the class details into your record. The instructor's roster already shows that you attended.
- When you subscribe. Apple handles the payment. We don't receive your card details.
- If you share crash data with developers. That's an iPhone setting, and Apple controls what's sent.
If you add a class to your calendar, it's written to the calendar you choose. Deadline reminders are scheduled on your phone.
What the website collects
When you join the early access list, we keep your email address, the role and state you chose, if any, which link or printed piece brought you here, and when you signed up. We use your email to tell you about beta spots and the launch, and the rest to decide where to focus and see which outreach works.
The website and the list run on Cloudflare, which also handles ordinary traffic information such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This website doesn't set cookies.
If you email us, we keep the message and our reply so we can help you.
What we don't collect
- Your Social Security number, date of birth, home address, or precise location. Please don't add them to a record.
- Advertising identifiers. myCE doesn't ask to track you.
- Your contacts or health data.
Patient information
myCE is a place for your own credentials, not a medical system. We aren't a HIPAA covered entity, and our terms don't allow patient information. If some reaches us, for example in a support email, tell us and we'll remove it.
Who we share information with
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We use Cloudflare to run the website and the list, and Google Workspace for email. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply until you're told otherwise.
How long we keep it
- Records on your iPhone: until you delete them, delete your account, or delete the app.
- The early access list: until you ask to be removed, or until we no longer need it for launch and follow-up.
- Support emails: for as long as they're useful for helping you, and as the law requires.
Your choices
- See and export: in the app, tap your avatar, then the gear icon, then Export my data. You get a ZIP of your records, files, and bundles.
- Correct: every record and profile field can be edited in the app.
- Delete: see how to delete your account.
- Leave the list: email privacy@trackmyce.io.
- Permissions: camera, photos, calendar, notifications, and Face ID can be turned off in iPhone Settings.
Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, the UK, and the EU, you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to some uses. Email privacy@trackmyce.io and we'll reply within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for asking. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on providing the service you asked for, our legitimate interest in running and protecting it, and your consent for the early access list.
Information we hold is kept in the United States, and may be handled there by the providers named above.
Security
We use encrypted connections, and sign-in details are kept in the iPhone's Keychain. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires. To report a security problem, email security@trackmyce.io.
Age
myCE is for adults. If you're under 18, please don't use it. If we learn we hold information from someone under 18, we'll delete it.
When account sync arrives
We're building account sync and a web app, which will store your account and records on our servers in the United States so you can reach them from a computer. That isn't running yet. Before it starts, we'll update this policy to explain what's stored, who provides the storage, and how long it's kept, and we'll tell you in the app.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
