Liability and disclaimers
Your license and your job may depend on these records, so we want to be clear about what myCE does and doesn't do. This page explains sections 3, 11, and 12 of our terms and conditions. If they differ, the terms apply.
Your requirements are still your responsibility
You're responsible for knowing what your state, agency, accreditor, and employer require, and for meeting it on time. Your licensing body or employer has the final word, not myCE.
Goals, hours, and deadlines can be wrong
Requirements vary by state and agency, and they change. The goals, hour counts, topic minimums, and deadlines in myCE are there to help you keep track. Before relying on one, check it against the official source. If you find a mistake, please tell us at support@trackmyce.io.
Check what the scanner reads
Text recognition makes mistakes, especially with dim photos or unusual layouts. Check the fields on every record you save.
Don't rely on reminders alone
A reminder may not arrive if notifications are off, your phone's settings change, or something goes wrong. Keep track of the dates that matter to you.
A "verified" record has limits
"Verified" means the record was issued through an instructor's class in myCE. We don't independently confirm the instructor's authority, the course, the hours, or the credential.
A bundle may not be accepted
We can't promise that any licensing body, accreditor, employer, or agency will accept a myCE record or bundle. Each has its own rules on format, content, and proof. myCE doesn't replace an official transcript or an original certificate.
Keep your originals and a backup
The app stores your records on your iPhone. If your phone is lost, broken, or erased without a backup, we can't get them back. Keep your original certificates, back up your iPhone, and use Export my data from time to time.
Who sees what you send
Once you send a bundle or export, it's out of our hands. Check what's in it and who you're sending it to, especially if it includes a driver's license number, insurance details, or vaccination records.
Not medical or legal advice
Nothing in myCE is medical, legal, or career advice. myCE is for your credentials, and patient information doesn't belong in it.
Instructors
If you issue records through myCE, you're responsible for your classes, for the attendance and hours you record, and for being authorized to teach them.
The legal limits
myCE is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties, to the extent the law allows. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost wages, employment, data, or a lapsed, denied, or suspended license or certification. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid for myCE in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Rights that the law says can't be limited aren't affected. The full wording is in the terms.
